The National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (mNACTEC) is organising a series of book presentations, Lletres i societat industrial [Literature and industrial society], focusing on science, technology and industrial society. The aim of this cycle is to draw attention to recent literary works that portray or are set in a climate of social change, resulting from the industrialization processes in Catalonia. It will also examine the more technical aspects of these historical and social changes. The industrial sectors examined in the cycle are are trade and transport; aeronautics, and the birth of industrial society.
