Second edition of the magazine Eix

Inside the publication, the contents feature in particular a dossier on the conservation of foodstuffs, an interview with Minister Santi Villa, a visit to the Museum of Technology of Manresa accompanied by the designer Míriam Ponsa, and two industrial tourism trails.

In November the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (mNACTEC) and its Regional Structure published the second edition of the magazine Eix. Industrial, technical and scientific culture. The publication devotes its cover to the Foodstuff Conservation dossier, explaining the evolution and innovation seen in food conservation techniques.

In addition to the central dossier, the new edition includes a total of 15 articles, among them an interview with the Catalan Minister for Culture, Santi Villa; a visit to the Museum of Technology of Manresa, accompanied by designer Míriam Ponsa, and two industrial tourism trails (in North Catalonia, and on the banks of the River Ebro and the Priorat district). Likewise worthy of note are the articles dedicated to the floating heritage represented by emblematic ships, the industrial side of painter Ramon Casas, the agricultural colony of Graugés, the Vichy Catalán brand, and the Bonet tricycle.

Eix is a magazine published by the mNACTEC and its Regional Structure, with the aim of showcasing and explaining the scientific and technical culture and heritage of Catalonia's industrial society. It adopts an explanatory tone to appeal to a general readership, setting out its content any straightforward, modern and reliable manner.
