The mNACTEC has opened the exhibition "Grífols: three generations at the service of health", in the section Made in Catalonia. Long-standing Catalan companies at the mNACTEC. The launch coincides with the 75th anniversary of the foundation of the company, on 18 November 1940.
The exhibition highlights Grífols's dedication to the pursuit of innovative solutions to improve the health and quality of life of the population, along with its track record dating back a century, beginning in 1909 with the creation of a clinical analysis laboratory, and consolidated from the 1960s onwards with the company's internationalisation. The development of a device for indirect transfusions, the technique of plasmapheresis, the process of fractioning plasma and the innovative use of freeze drying to preserve it, are a number of the key milestones highlighted by the exhibition. The lobby of the mNACTEC has on display one of the only two remaining plasma freeze-drying devices of the six manufactured by Grífols in the 1940s.
