This mechanical television creates 6 x 2 cm images in black and red. Its construction in painted tin and its shape with mouldings and cabriolé legs are reminiscent of the devices which played with the idea of moving images.
It was one of the first television receivers commercialised in the world, and only 700 units were sold. The key pieces of its operation are the Nipkow disk and photoelectrical cell.
