In addition to its central branch in Terrassa, the MNACTEC has another three branches:
Cement Museum of Castellar de n’Hug
A visit to the museum serves to reveal the first Portland cement factory in Catalonia, and its production process, along with a tour of those parts of the impressive Modernist industrial complex built in the early 20th century which are open to visitors.
Sedó Factory Town Museum in Esparreguera
The Sedó Factory Town in Esparreguera, founded in 1846, was the first and largest textile factory town in Catalonia. A tour of the museum reveals the history of the factory town, its different sights, and distinctive hydraulic system.
Founded as an iron forge in the 17th century, it remained in operation until it shut down in 1978, converted into a copper forge. It is the only complete, well-preserved forge open to visitors in Catalonia, and stands out for its two original hydraulic drop hammers.
