We Are Electric Congress 2023

The congress will take place on 30 November at the MNACTEC

The We Are Electric! congress is finalising preparations for its 8th edition, to take place on 30 November at the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (MNACTEC). This year the congress will focus on the scientific community, and to mark the UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai, will be discussing how certain limits have been surpassed on our planet, and the state of the current climate emergency.

The day will be attended by such leading European scientific figures as: David Nogués-Bravo, macro-ecologist and professor at the University of Copenhagen; Carles Ibañez, scientific director of the Climate Resilience Centre and director of the Eurecat Climate Area; José Luis Garcia Ortega, head of the Climate Change area at Greenpeace; Joan López Redondo, doctor of geography, researcher, associate professor and member of the GURB at the UAB; Frederic Ximeno,  biologist and environmental and urban planner, and member of the Committee of Experts on Climate Change at the Parliament of Catalonia, and Pedro Gómez Romero, chemist, CSIC research professor, leader of the Neo-Energy group at the ICN2, science writer and leading international figure in the field of batteries and energy storage. Together they make up the panel for the programme of this 8th edition, available for consultation on the congress website.

The MNACTEC will again this year serve as the venue for the congress. These days are intended for professionals, companies and institutions, but also the general public.
