On the weekend of 17 and 18 May, the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (MNACTEC) is staging open days and a range of activities free of charge to mark International Museum Day.
This is the most important event organised by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), staged since 1977. Museums organise a range of activities for all audiences around this date, and open up their doors free of charge. The aim of the event is to raise visitor and public awareness as to the importance of museums in the development of society.
The initiatives on offer this year at the MNACTEC include an escape room, a yoga class, walks around the museum's roof vaults and dramatised tours.
