2022-2024 Social Responsibility Action Plan

Setting out initiatives to establish the MNACTEC as a sustainable museum

The National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (MNACTEC) has presented its 2022-2024 Corporate Social Responsibility Action Plan, setting out the initiatives to be undertaken by the MNACTEC to consolidate its position as a sustainable museum, and enhance its relationship with various stakeholders.

The presentation event was attended by Sònia Hernández, Director-General for Cultural Heritage of the Department of Culture of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia; Jaume Perarnau, Director of the MNACTEC; Gemma Sallés, partner and consultant of Get a Partner, and Josep Maria Canyelles, expert and trainer in social responsibility for companies and organisations.

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Plan is a project intended to consolidate the MNACTEC's position as a sustainable museum, with sustainability taking into account economic, social and environmental aspects, and to engage in a process of citizen participation and stronger social ties. The Plan defines more than 125 CSR actions to be undertaken in order to become a sustainable museum over the coming years.

The authoring of the document involved all the stakeholders with which the MNACTEC interacts, and proposed actions for all of them. A CSR Committee has also been set up, to oversee implementation of the Plan and its results.
