The Historical Memory of the Textile Industry in Alfarràs (El Segrià, Lleida)

The research covers an archetypal case of industrialisation in Catalonia, from the village of Alfarràs to the region of Terres de Ponent. The genealogy of business, architecture, water power, worker organisation and eyewitness accounts of 39 workers serve to reconstruct the history of the Alfarràs Mill, from the textile factories to the hydroelectric power plants of the Pinyana Canal.
