The MNACTEC Fotocroma is a chroma installation blending images of visitors with scenes of the industrial heritage of Terrassa. Chroma is a technique achieving special effects by composing two images on the basis of chromatic tonalities. One colour band on the upper layer, typically green, is transparent, revealing another image behind.
A kiosk equipped with an iPad allows visitors to select the desired scene (from old photos up to the Museum's finest exhibits), to take photos, download them and share them with their friends via social media. The Fotocroma can also be used with a smartphone by means of the museum app.
