To mark Science Week, the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (MNACTEC) is organising a number of activities free of charge, most notably a talk about the potential and dangers of artificial intelligence, to be given by Ramon López de Mántaras, Emeritus Professor of Research at the Artificial Intelligence Institute, and a workshop for children entitled "Journey to the Fascinating World of the Transistor", to be staged jointly with the IMB-CM, CSIC (Microelectronics Institute of Barcelona).
Science Week, which is now in its 29th year, will be held from 8 to 17 November and focuses on all sectors of the public, with the aim of bringing citizens into closer contact with science and technology, and encouraging youngsters to take up a career in science.
