Publication of the book ‘Petita història del MNACTEC’

This work examines industrialisation in Catalonia and the history of the Vapor Aymerich, Amat I Jover textile factory

The publisher Editorial Mediterrània and the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (MNACTEC) have released the book Petita història del MNACTEC, written by Núria Armengol and illustrated by Pilarín Bayés. This work - aimed at children and families - allows children to learn about the industrialisation of Catalonia and the history of the Modernist building used as headquarters for the MNACTEC, the Vapor Aymerich, Amat i Jover textile factory. The book explains the arrival of the steam engine and its use in textile manufacturing and until now.

This book is part of the “Petites històries” collection published by Editorial Mediterrània, which includes over 330 different titles, all illustrated by Pilarín Bayés. Through this collection, boys and girls can learn about the most important artists, traditions, association and sites of Catalonia.
