The Asland Cement Museum in Castellar de n’Hug has added a clinker mill to its collection. The move provides the museum with an essential exhibit in understanding the process of cement making.

The exhibit is a donation from the company Beton Catalán, SA to the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (mNACTEC), which has allocated it to the Asland Cement Museum in Castellar de n’Hug.

The mill is fitted with a flow pump and comprises a cylindrical body, 10 metres long and with an approximate diameter of 2 metres, used to crush clinker to make cement. The placement of the mill at the entrance to the museum marked the end of a loading, transportation and installation operation of considerable complexity.
