On 19 December, the National Museum of Science and Technology (MNACTEC) staged an institutional event to mark its 40th anniversary. The event "MNACTEC. 40 years showcasing the scientific, technical and industrial heritage of Catalonia", presented and compered by Quico Simó, had the Catalan Minister of Culture, Sònia Hernández Almodóvar, as its guest of honour. Speeches were likewise given by Jaume Perarnau, current director of the MNACTEC; Eusebi Casanelles, the Museum's former director, and Jordi Ballart, the Mayor of Terrassa.
The event featured the première of the documentary about the Museum's 40 years of history, and a musical performance by the Albors Quartet.
This institutional event at the MNACTEC brings to a close a year of anniversary celebrations, which likewise featured a special broadcast of El Matí on Catalunya Ràdio from the Museum, and a weekend of fun activities, including a drone display, an escape room and a concert by Lildami.
