This book sets out a historic and photographic inventory of paper manufacturing sites built during the 18th century in Catalonia and which are still standing, although many of them are in decline and have abandoned paper production. The authors classify and study the paper mills and order them by river basin, as the mills are located close by rivers. Paper production, along with the textile sector, iron and distilleries, made a decisive contribution to the economic development of Catalonia in the 18th century.
