Travelling exhibition on the industrial heritage of iron and the steel industry in the Pyrenees, showing the most notable locations of this industry in the Principality of Andorra, Catalonia, Basque Country, Languedoc- Roussillon and Aquitaine.

The display is organized by the Iron Route of the Pyrenees, which aims to study, conserve and showcase heritage relating to the iron manufacturing industry in the Pyrenees. The route groups different spaces from five neighbouring regions - the Principality of Andorra, Catalonia, the Basque Country, Languedoc-Roussillon and Aquitaine - as part of a common itinerary. Three Catalan industrial spaces are currently included in this route: the Cercs Mining Museum (Berguedà), the Palau Forge in Ripoll (Ripollès) and Alt Forn ironworks  in Anglès (Selva). 

The exhibition will visit different locations of the regions which are part of the Iron Route of the Pyrenees. The schedule is as follows:

  • February 2019: Museo del Ferrocarril (Azpeitia)
  • March 2019: Agorregi
  • April 2019: Errenteria, Beasain
  • May 2019: Andorra
  • June 2019: Museu de les Mines de Cercs (Cercs) / Berga
  • July 2019: Ardituri
  • September 2019: Zerain
  • October 2019: Museo Romano Oiasso (Irun)
  • November 2019: Mutiloa
  • December 2019: Museo Zumalakarregi (Ormaiztegi)
