This publication proposes a route around the mining legacy of Vall Fosca, from the extraction of uranium in the mines of Castell by Franco to the discovery of abellaita, the first new mineral discovered in Catalonia. An overview is provided of the geology of Vall Fosca and the unique nature of the minerals from the Eureka mine, highlighting the heritage from the mine which should be preserved at present.
